COVID-19 Modelling: More Realistic Flow Estimation

Instead of randomly generating commuting flow between areas (MSOA) only based on population, my work matches local population to business registries, by using a gravitation-based assignment approach. We take the distance between individual residence and business places, as well as business capacities into consideration. With this the model can generate realistic commuting flow, helping us to better understand the virus transmission caused by commuting activities.
